Teen Home Schooling - Teach Teens At Home
If you are a stay at home mom or dad you may want to consider home schooling your kids and teens. It may seem scary at first but a lot of parents and teens love it. There are a lot of benefits of home schooling. One of the most common is for a teen to finish 4 years of high school in as little as two years. Each teen learns different but when a teen is at home he will focus his time on doing the work. Also teens want to finish the work as fast as they can so they can get out and play after its all done.
There have been studies done where researchers have observed what actually happens during a normal six hour day at high school. When they finished their studies the realized that only one hour of the six hour day was when teens were actually learning something. Public schools are getting longer with not as much efficiency in completing a lecture. There are so much small things public schools do that waste a lot of time such as role call, handing out supplies, etc.
Teen homeschooling is legal and can be done in all 50 states. There are no exact requirements on what you have to do and you don't need a teaching license if you are the parent or guardian. The only downside to homeschooling, some have noticed, is your teen will not get to socialize with other peers their age. This can be good and bad. There will less likely bad things your teen will do if they are not part of a negative clique. Some teens, however, don't understand or know how to talk to other kids and become socially withdrawn.
