Carlisle School - Axton, VA
This boarding school was first opened in 1968 and will take grades 9 - 12 as residential students and accept grades K - 12 as day students. The school can hold up to 469 students and has a staff to student ratio of 1:14.
Carlisle's yearly tuition is $26,500, which makes it much more affordable than most other boarding schools. About %40 of staff hold and advanced degree.

Foxcroft School - Middleburg, VA
This boarding school was founded in 1914 and is an all girl school that accepts grades 9 - 12. They currently will accept around 157 girls which makes the student to teacher ratio low, 1:7. About %68 of staff hold and advanced degree.
Foxcroft offers extracurricular activities that include, math club, coffee house, riding club, lab rats, art club, cooking club and much more.

Stuart Hall School - Staunton, VA
Village School has been around since 1844 and has an Episcopal religious affiliation. They take students in grades 8 - 12 and accept day students grades K - 12. The yearly tuition is $37,000 for residential students and $12,400 for day students.
