The situation is even worse when the teen starts abusing drugs or opts for other self-destructive behavior. Some parents do try to confront the teens, but in vain. A boarding school is an independent educational body which provides college preparatory courses to students. The boarding school not just concentrates on the educational aspects of the student, but also ensures that the individual student grows individually as a person. Usually the curriculum at the boarding school is quite challenging than the other schools, because students are expected to dedicate a major portion of their time to studies. Unlike the public schools, government regulations do not control the private boarding schools, allowing them to have greater control on the type and length of the curriculum.
Boarding schools also provide the choice of having your child educated in a single-sex environment. It has been found through research that single-sex studying environment significantly increases the productivity of the student. The student to teacher ratio at small residential boarding schools is also very small which means the defiant teen will always get attention from the teachers. Troubled teen has become an increasing problem for the parents, but fortunately some of the boarding schools provide special attention towards the troubled teens. There therapeutic sessions have shown considerable improvements in those teenagers.

There are a lot of boarding schools who give special attention to the troubled teens.
